The Center staff is always available for support should personal problems arise in connection with academics, housing, health, or adapting to a new culture.
For security reasons, all students are required to carry a cellular phone during their year or semester at CUPA, and may also contact staff members at any time in case of an emergency.
Students must be physically, mentally and emotionally prepared to meet the challenges of living in a foreign country and be capable of adjusting to the unfamiliar aspects of such an adventure.
Students who are in any way concerned about their ability to do so are required to discuss their situation with their doctor, study abroad advisor or CUPA program representatives before applying to the program.
The director reserves the right to dismiss any student from the program if his or her conduct warrants such action.
The student’s parents or legal guardians will be informed of any such decision, as will the student’s home university. No portion of tuition or fees will be refunded if any such action is taken by the Center’s director.
